The Southernway federation is made up from 4 schools:

Tamerton Vale Primary School

 Southway Primary School

 Langley Junior School

Langley Infants School

 These 4 schools are no more and have been replaced by Beechwood Primary School and Oakwood Primary School.
 

Beechwood Primary School is to be a completely new school which will occupy the site of the old Southway Community College but at present is using the old Southway Primary School. Oakwood Primary School is an amalgamation of Langley Infants and Langley Junior Schools totally remodelling existing buildings as well as having new build.
 

Work on Oakwood has already started and children will be decanted from areas to be developed to old parts of the school then decanted back to the new areas for final development.
 

There are 2 headteachers Mrs. Andrea Norris and Mr. Mark Lees working across the two schools with one federated governing body. This is one of the first schools in the country to be organised in this way
